EveryMetric does not measure "hits". A hit occurs whenever an object is loaded off of your site. This will cause an entry to be made to the webserver log file - this entry being known as a ‘hit’. This means that everytime an image, a page, a flash object, a sound clip, etc etc are loaded off your site, each object counts as one hit. A single page can have many hits, therefore making it difficult to analyse your site's traffic. Since you are interested in how many VISITORS use your site, ‘hits’ are unrelated to how many visitors, or even page views, are generated by your site. Better terms for tracking your site's traffic are "Page Views" and "Visitors".
EveryMetric is available as an outsourced model, so requires no additional hardware or software investment on the part of your organization.

Web Browser Requirements are:
Web pages are tracked by including a tiny JavaScript that instructs the web browser to request an image. This image is a single pixel in width and height. The image is around 50 bytes - less than the size of our logo! This image is hosted on EveryMetric's network.
Each time a page is viewed, the JavaScript instructs the web browser to request a different image. This means that each request for an image is different (so it cannot be cached) and corresponds with a page being viewed.
The requests made on the image are processed in real-time and are archived in the large DeepMetrix Data Warehouse. In turn the Data Warehouse is queried on demand to create reports for your web site.
Login to your account and check the checkbox "Excluding my traffic from this computer" on the Account -> Settings page.
If you are using multiple web servers to support your site you can still use the EveryMetric Product on your servers thanks to our unique visitor tracking systems. This system allows the unique identification of a visitor against a web server, ensuring none of the visitor session detail gets lost. Ensure you ask this question of all vendor´s products you are reviewing.
EveryMetric is capable of handling well over 6 Million page hits per customer per day.
